As I mentioned in yesterday’s outfit post, I went to Primark last thursday. The first few times I went to Primark I really went crazy, buying everything that I only at least ‘slightly liked’. The thought on that probably would have been something like “It’s so cheap, cheap, cheap!” Primark always has a lot of sheer blouses, so my closet is now filled with tons of sheer blouses that I all bought probably the first two times I went to Primark. Now that I’ve visited Primark more often, I’m finding out that about half of my Primark buys I only wear once. Therefore, I decided to first get an idea of what I want to buy at Primark before actually going there. This method seems to be working very well for me.
Last time I went to Primark I decided I needed some new sweaters and tights. I ended up buying 3 sweaters and 2 pairs of tights. Mission accomplished!
This time I wanted to get the famous €11 studded loafers, a horizontal striped blouse, some coloured jewelry, feather earrings and printed tights. Unfortunately they didn’t have the studded loafers. Below you can see what I ended up buying. I think I did a very good job sticking to my wishlist.
Blouse (wishlist check!) €10 | Spring/summer coat €15 (discounted from €31)
Feather earrings (wishlist check!) €2 | Aztec sunglasses €1,50 | Cobalt blue jewelry (wishlist check!) €8,50
Dotted tights (wishlist check!) €3 | Skirt €3 (discounted from €11)
As you can see, I also bought some things that weren’t on my wishlist. These are the coat, the skirt and the sunglasses. All these things were very low priced. And well, actually fun sunglasses are always on my wishlist and I I didn’t have a long spring/summer coat yet!
Altogether I think I did very well! What do you think? And do you have a strategy when visiting Primark?
