Another year has passed by, so I thought this would be the perfect moment to look back at 2014 and share some of my personal and blog highlights with you! In 2015, among other things, I went to fashion week for the first time, I moved to a new place with my boyfriend, I got my very first SLR camera and I went to New York City! All in all, I had an amazing year! I hope you all did too! I’ve broken the year down into months, so I’m sharing my highlights and favorite outfits per month. Below every photo, there’s a link to the corresponding post. I hope you’ll like it!
February was a quiet month for me. I can’t really remember any highlights from that month, and looking through my posts, I can’t find anything special either. I probably was working on my master’s thesis ;-) I added two shots of my two favorite outfits from February above!
Blog Class Event by Yara (I shared some of her tips and tricks here)
A lot of highlights in March! In March, I went to the blog class event of Yara from Chapter Friday. I learned a lot from her story and had fun with some fellow bloggers! March was also the first month in which I was able to wear a spring outfit. And maybe the biggest highlight of all; I got my SLR camera in March! The Canon 700D! Best buy ever! And last but not least, I recorded an outfit video with my sister Simone in March! I really loved doing that and we got a lot of great comments on it. I don’t know why we didn’t make another one yet! I think it’s a great idea to make another one in 2015! How about you?
In April, I had a really fun collaboration with the International Collectors Fair. This fair is the biggest vintage and record fair of Europe. I visited the fair before, but for this collaboration I got to give away 2 tickets to 5 of my readers and I was able to go to the fair with my boyfriend for free! A really fun collaboration, which really fits my style and blog! And above, you see one of my favorite outfits of April!

A lot of photos from May which I wanted to share with you! In May, I posted my first outfit with my custom made Eudia hat, I posted one of my favorite outfits of the year (the boho meets 50s one) and I went on vacation to Fuerteventura with my boyfriend. I had such a great time there! Just relaxing and enjoying the sun! In May, I also posted my first outfit with socks in sandals. Some of you hated it and some of you loved it. I still love it, haha! And last, but not least, I went to the ilovefashionbloggers Q&A in May! At this event, we were all able to ask questions to some of the biggest Dutch bloggers; Linda Tol, Yara Michels and Negin Mirsalehi! In this post, I shared some of the questions and their answers!
In June, I went to the Pinkpop festival especially to see The Rolling Stones perform there. It was amazing! While my parents, brother, sister and her boyfriend stayed there for the entire festival, we decided to make a little Maastricht city trip out of it! The weather was super lovely that weekend! And in June, I also got my master’s degree in Actuarial Science! I received my degree while wearing a dress I bought from Yara from Chapter Friday!
In July, I went to Fashion Week Amsterdam again! This time it was a little hectic, because I had just moved into a new place and I was living out of boxes, haha! Above, you can see my fashion week outfits, two shots by Team Peter Stigter of two shows I went to and one of my favorite outfits!
In August, I got featured in CosmoGIRL! magazine as look of the month! I’m still so honored! And in August, I went on a biking holiday with my boyfriend. Due to bad weather, we had to stop early, but I loved it for as long as it lasted. This year, we’re thinking about biking to different Dutch cities and make short city trips out of it in the weekends. And last, but not least, in August I made a post about which type of midi skirt looks best with different body types. It’s one of the posts from this year that I’m most proud of!
In September, I went to a Caro Emerald concert, which I dressed up for to the max. I really love to get all dressed up for her concerts. This outfit is one of my favorites of 2014! Above, you can also see two other outfits from September which are personal favorites of mine.
In November, I went to another Caro Emerald concert. This time I went for a retro meets modern kind of combo. The next day, me and the bf were on a plane to NYC. And wow, did we have a great time! This was probably the biggest highlight of 2014! Best vacation ever! We were there for 12 days, which sounds long for a city trip, but all 12 of them were gone in the blink of an eye. I’ll definitely be back!
In December, I posted some Christmas outfits on the blog. This Christmas outfit was my personal favorite. I wore it to the Christmas dinner with my boyfriend’s work. I even rock ‘n rolled in those heels. Can you believe it? I know I still can’t, haha! In December, I was also really happy with my new cloche hat which I bought in New York! And last, but not least, I posted my very first lookbook video in December; a Christmas lookbook! I got great comments on this video, so I’m planning on making more lookbook videos this year! And I’m wondering: would you like to see lookbook video’s of my recent outfits or would you prefer a lookbook with a certain theme? And if so, what themes would you like to see? I’d love to know!
So, this is what my 2014 was like! I really liked looking back at my year like this. I really had some great highlights and I’m looking forward to have another great year in 2015! I hope you liked seeing this recap of my year and I wish you all the best for 2015!
