It was Kingsday in the Netherlands yesterday! On this national holiday, we celebrate the King’s birthday. Which means, dressing up in the national colour orange or in red, white and blue (the colours of the Dutch flag). I went for a mix between the two this year. A few weeks ago, I received this gorgeous co-ord set from Alice’s Pig and I immediately had an outfit in mind which I thought would be perfect for Kingsday. I mean, the co-ord has both orange, red and blue in it! I added some extra blue with my beret, earrings and shoes, some extra red with my bag and I figured my extremely pale skin could pass for white, haha! The weather forecasts for Kingsday were quite tricky, but luckily the weather turned out to be great! I wore a pair of leggings underneath the skirt for some extra warmth, and I took a jacket with me for the sunless moments, and it was perfectly doable! What do you think of my Kingsday outfit? And do you have national holidays you dress up for? I’m really curious!
