The shows which I always really look forward to seeing are the Chanel shows. Obviously, I mean looking forward to the videos. I can only dream about being invited to the actual shows, haha! Karl Lagerfeld always comes up with the most amazing themes for the shows; there was a casino theme for the haute couture FW 15/16 show, and a grocery store theme for the ready-to-wear FW 14/15 show. This season, the theme of the ready-to-wear show was ‘Chanel Airlines’. Even the airport trolleys had ‘Chanel Airlines’ on them. I love it! In the end it’s obviously about the clothes, but I personally really like these themes!
In this post, I’m sharing the video of the show with you, and my personal thoughts on the collection. Apart from the shows, the Chanel YouTube channel is really worth subscribing to, because they post a lot of great video’s about the history of Chanel, and about the stories behind some of their most famous pieces. Anyway, off to the video!

I watched the video yesterday and I’m really excited about the collection. As always, I mostly fell in love with the tweed suits. But this time, I loved them even more because of the skirts. The skirts are midi length, and tight on top and wider at the hem. Totally my cup of tea! Also, I really loved the red and blue ensembles. Red and blue is one of my favorite color combo’s. Other favorites of mine are the hats, the v-shape waist band of one of the skirts, the white and blue ruffled ensemble with a cape, the front split skirts, the simple cut coats, and obviously the bags! Also, if it’s down to Karl Lagerfeld, we’ll all be wearing skirts and dresses over pants next year. And in case of the high front split skirts, I think this is a really fun look!
What do you think of the collection? And is there any particular show you look forward to during fashion week season?
