In the blog post series ‘Talking Style With…’ I’m interviewing fellow bloggers about their style. And I ask them for tips of fun unknown shops, and how to find your own style! This time, I’m talking style with Larissa of the blog From Hats To Heels! So, time to get to know her and her style a little better!
1. How would you describe your style?
My style is a combination of feminine and edgy. I always try to create a sophisticated look, which also has a playful touch.
2. What can visitors expect when they land on your blog?
On my blog, you won’t only find my outfits, but also my other interests. Travel is one of those. Think of hotel reviews, photo reports and travel tips. Also, I’m trying to write more lifestyle & beauty posts.
3. What’s on top of your wishlist?
On top of my wishlist is (and will remain) a Chanel bag! That’s the ultimate buy for me.
4. What’s your favorite go-to outfit?
I often wear trousers and skirts which are highwaisted. In the winter I wear it with a warm cosy sweater, and in summer with a top and cardigan. Ankle boots with a heel are the ultimate musthave for me, because they’re comfortable and they go with everything.
5. Who’s your biggest (fashion) inspiration or example?
I find Mira Duma really inspiring, because she makes surprising combinations of items. When it comes to bloggers, I begin to appreciate Aimee Song from Song of Style more and more, because of her authenticity and also because I like her looks.
6. Which item in your closet is your absolute favorite?
This is constantly changing. At the moment, I wear my maxi green coat very often. And I’m also crazy about my mini box bags, because they’re too adorable.
7. Any smaller or unknown brands we need to know about?
Missguided is not small, but still too unknown in the Netherlands. Other fun brands are: Public Desire for shoes, Renard Watches, LaBante for purses, and ZeroVintage for sunglasses.
8. What is your favorite trend at the moment?
I’m really happy that everything is made of faux fur now. From bags to coats to shoes. Very cosy and fluffy.
9. And last, but not least, any tips for people who are currently figuring out their own style?
I think it starts with self confidence: dare to choose for what you like and keep experimenting to find out your style.
