I have a different kind of post for you today; namely an IKEA hack! We recently rearranged our living room. Which made the high table we had standing behind the sofa to hide Minoes’ cat stuff useless. So we had to come up with a different solution to cover up her basket and her food. I went on an online quest for a piece of furniture that could do the job, but I couldn’t really find it. Eventually I found this table at IKEA. It’s the IKEA hol table, which has a loose top, such that you can use it for storage. I looked into the manual and it seemed to be possible to simply leave out one of the sides of the table. And it turned out to be really easy indeed! You also get a bottom of the table, but I didn’t use this either because it just seemed uncomfortable for Minoes. I had this ‘cat stuff cover’ all done in 10 minutes. And trust me, if I can do it, you can do it, haha!
So how do you make this IKEA hack? Super easy! Put the table together like the manual describes and simply leave out the bottom and one of the long sides of the table. And there you have your cat stuff cover!
As I had been looking for something like this for quite a long time, I figured there could be more people looking for something like this. So that’s why I’m sharing this tip with you! And it’s so easy, and it even looks very good in our interior! Win win win! What do you think of this IKEA hack?
